Kirchspiel is one of his two largest holdings in Westhofen, with hard limestone running some fifty meters deep beneath the vines. As a Grosses Gewachs (dry grand cru), this is racy, powerful, and built to age, the limestone lending lacy minerality and a unique salinity.
