This is the first chapter in a new series of Laphroaig whiskies. This release is dedicated to Donald Johnston, co founder of the Laphroaig distillery in 1815. The packaging and accompanying booklet feature illustrations by artist Bill Bragg. This 33 year old whisky was matured in a selection of American oak ex bourbon casks and European oak sherry seasoned hogsheads. It is bottled at 87. 6 proof
