Canard Vineyard Throwback Red, Napa Valley, USA 2021 Rutini Encuentro pepper and chocolateThe 2021 Throwback Cabernet Sauvignon, with 4% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc in the blend, is deep garnet purple in color. It comes bounding out with eager to please notes of juicy plums, creme de cassis, and blueberry preserves followed by hints of tapenade, tobacco, and lavender oil. The medium to full bodied palate is filled with black fruit preserves and savory accents, framed by chewy tannins and finishing with a peppery kick. 92 Pts The Wine
