They had tithed a quarter of this parcels wines to the Abbey of Ronceray in Angers for generations, a tradition now enshrined in the name of the appellation Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru. This cuve, however, is not a Grand Cru wine since it is made in a dry style which entitles it to carry the more generic Anjou
