The Ribbonaire fan from Singer is very collectible and hard to find. Prior to plastic fan blades, the ribbon fan was used as an alternative to a dangerous metal blade fan. It was well built and quite heavy, and it has a Bakelite construction. Ahead of its time, Singer marketed the ribbon as a sort of wick, diffusing an applied essence into an area. Because of the fragility of
