Lycoris traubiata Moonbeam Antennaria a 1995 sister seedling ofLycoris 'Moonbeam' is most likely one of only two selections of Lycoris x traubiata that have ever been offered in the US. This rare cross of the Chinese Lycoris radiata and the Taiwanese Lycoris traubii was produced by Japanese surprise lily breeder, Satoshi Miwa. We obtained our original bulb from Satoshi in 2010, so it's taken us fourteen years to build up enough to share. Lycoris 'Moonbeam' is one of the latest surprise lilies to flower, producing
