Hugely Endearing Carved Figure in Plaid with Large Ears, Presumed Southeast Asian painted plaster visible image size 10 5/8"Another love at first sight soul for me, this one, with these great protruding ears and open face and head that looks as though wrapped in a bandage, just right in combination with his pajama like outfit. My guess is that he's southeast asian, perhaps specifically Indonesian in the tradition of Toraja "tau tau" effigy figures of South Sulawesi. Whatever the case, certainly he carries a lot of life in him. C. mid 20th century I would guess. 7 3 4" t x
