The stem is made of solid beech wood with a brown lacquered finish. The handle and spoon are made of acetate of cellulose in a tortoiseshell design. The pieces are bound together by a handsome brass ferrule. The spoon of the shoehorn is flexible and shock resistant. Comes with a convenient strap for easy storage and handling.
