In researching the origins of this carved wooden comb

Someone more knowledgeable than me identified the woods as walnut with maple inlay

This appears to be an original drawing done in black marker

It is in very good condition but the sinew holding one of the legs is a bit loose

There are lots of gorgeous old weathered wooden ones out there, which are really a wonderful thing to build a collection of. The clean lines of this steel one are pretty great too, though, and I love the lighter silver tone of the tip. Totally useable still for finding a plumb line, or hang it from the ceiling in front of your yoga mat to provide a focus point, or just use it as a paper weight! 3 3 4" l x 1 1 2"
