Golden Eye Female, Folk Art Working Decoy with Great Surface, North Shore, MA wood and horsehair brush decided to make tiny detailedI know this working duck decoy, and its male, green headed Golden Eye mate, came from an estate in Newburyport, MA, where, or near where, they were made. I'm no decoy expert and not dedicated to becoming one; I get excited about them for their sculptural qualities, the more primitive the better, and for their surfaces, made better by the years and work they've done. I find the form, and the craquelure to the surface on this one really gorgeous, and
