A bit of research leads me to believe that most if not all were made from a kit of Strombecker Steam Locomotives dating to the 1920s or 30s

as if it could function as a weapon of some sort

There are no holes to suggest this horse ever hung from strings

but I'd hang it on the wall by a nail otherwise
