Portrait of John Lindsay, 20th Earl of Crawford (1720-1749) Size:M: 50 x 40cm Mr Dalmahoy (both of whomHalf length oval portrait of Lindsay in armour and carrying a baton. He wears a fur trimmed cloak and lace collar and cuffs, his hair ribboned. Above are English and Union flags with laurels at the top of the oval surround. Below are connon and cannon balls with a battle scene within an acanthus leaf border. The oval frame contains the inscription: 'JOHN EARL OF CRAWFURD'. Inscribed lower left: 'T Worlidge fecit. 1753'.
