I believe it dates to the 1940s

Stork Head on Spring! stark I'd guess he is GermanHow could I resist this??? Though this old stork has lost his body, I think the bobble head is pretty fabulous just on its own. I'd certainly love to see it inspire a whole new creation, though I'd probably find a good spot for it just as is. I believe it is made of papier mache, and the there are a few cracks on the top of the top hat, but the paint remains bright and all the better for some wear, and the spring is springy, making him bobble still!
