The Embarkation of the English in Holland mb-code 1239914 Inscribed upper right 'PLATE XXVIII'The Embarkation of the English in Holland, 30 November 1799'. In August 1799 the British and Russians launched a combined invasion of the Netherlands, then a French vassal state. The campaign was a failure, although the British did capture the Dutch fleet before withdrawing in November.
