A very lovely carved hand mannequin with jointed thumb (at first I thought a repair, but have found other examples made this way; thumb does not move but I love the suggestion of it, as if doing a lot of texting!)) and black stained round base, c. 1920s 40s. Hard to argue with an extra hand, or many, and this is really a nice one, stretching (or waving) quite elegantly, and forever, into the void! 11" t x 4" diameter at base.
