Electrical machine at Teyler's Museum Product:Framed picture An Alderman of the CityElectrostatic generator designed by John Cuthbertson (bap. 1743 d. 1821) for Martin van Marum and installed at Teyler's Museum at Haarlem in the Netherlands. Shown with batteries of Leyden jars. Plate 6 from Beschryving eene ongemeen groote electrizeer machine geplaatst in Teyler's Museum by Martinus van Marum (Haarlemn, 1785). The plate is inscribed 'Pl. VI. B. de Bakker sculps.' Martin van Marum was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1798.
