Robert Montgomery (1904-1981), American actor and director telecommuting London in 1805Robert Montgomery (1904 1981), American actor and director, 20th century. In 1937 Montgomery was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor as a psychopath in the chiller Night Must Fall, and again in 1942 for Here Comes Mr Jordan. During World War II he served in the US Navy, attaining the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
