Charming Early Red and Black Folk Art Turtle Stool, 15 1/2 Inch vintage Haitian Closed: 7 5/16” x 5I see these old folk art turtle stools at antique shows now and then, but have never found one myself, and a really great one I think it is! C. 1920s 30s, these were made in graduated sizes; this is the second to largest variety, 15 1 2" long. All original paint, with the red painted first then the black around it, and mustard colored dots atop the red and for the face and toes.
