Creamy apricots on the palate

with furry tannins which are perhaps just a little dry - not the most elegant tannic texture

This is a bit woody though the underlying material appears to be present to absorb it in time

Very ripe aromas of blackberry, blueberry, violet and licorice, plus notes of cocoa powder and dark chocolate. Quite seamless in texture but with a slightly medicinal, herbal cast that conveys the coolness of the 2016 vintage. Strong black fruit flavors are accented by menthol and mint. Finishes with firm, building tannins, a note of dusty cocoa powder and very good violet lift. Not a particularly pliant style of Cabernet Franc, this
