Description
Yellow paper pages in the blue one and pink in the green one
The other similar I found was dated to Civil War era
but think likely it came from the collection of a breeder
with pulled pink curtain at left
1914 French Hand-knotted Lace Sample Mounted with Pattern honey Yellow paper pages in theBoldly graphic and very finely detailed at once, this is a 1914 hand knotted lace sample, with pattern, hand drawn on orange card and used in the process of making the lace (pin pricks everywhere) mounted below. I presume done by a young woman mastering the art of making lace, though sometimes one sees similar things done by teachers, or professional lace makers, as examples. With what looks to me a signature on the pattern. All mounted to blue card
