Sweet Old Carved Shovel Whimsy 1905 but I happened upon itFound (in Maine) separately from the pair of whittled chains I've just listed, but feeling very much akin. It's almost gardening season, so a good one to gift to one's favorite farmer, or else to wear around one's neck for good luck growing! Of course all sorts of metaphorical implications for a shovel (and the act of digging) too. A sweet one, with nice age to it. 5 1 4 l x 1 1 8 w (at link), very good condition.
