The design on the sides of the box mimics a woodgrain pattern and is in deeper relief

I am in love with this little vintage hand-crafted Egyptian Ibis

I then opened the box to discover the whetstone inside--making this quite the useful box

There is a small chip at the top of the incised tomb  on one of the short sides

Light Green and Brown Glazed Studio Pottery Bud Vase Signed Krantz curious The design on the sidesThis great little vintage studio pottery bud vase features an interesting light green glaze that is mostly mossy in color, but with a bit of pop. Thin in places and thick in others, it partially covers a dark tan light brown glaze visible on the lower half of the vase. Pronounced striations, particularly around the shoulders and near the base further animate the surface. My guess is that this is vintage 1970s or so, but I am not certain. Signed Krantz
