I've certainly seen young Taylor's with more intensity

but it also has the pedigree and beautiful inner structure for long cellar aging

this is not to say that it is an elegant wine though it is less youthfully austere than I typically find with this wine

Poggio Sotto, Brunello Montalcino other_regions The 2007 Vin de ConstanceCastelnuovo dell'Abate. Very pale crimson with some blue. Unusual spicy nose. Edgy acidity on the end. Bitter cherries. Rather confidently going its own way. Much fresher and lighter than most.
