SOLD Inuit Soapstone Figure with Wonderful Face and Inlaid Eyes (Repairs to Feet) Edwin deming 8 7/8"" x 6"The whites of the eyes on the face of this fellow lend him a wonderful intensity I think, and as he surely once held tools in his hands, likely a harpoon in one, and or a string with fish, I might guess he was staring wide eyed at his catch. Object less now, I love the ambiguity of his pose, as if he might be holding up anything with a combination of pride and awe and reverence. It appears that his feet were re glued to the base at some point, but
