I have a fantasy that one day at a flea market I'll uncover a beautiful antique herbarium that's been sitting in the bottom of a box for 150 years or so filled with page upon page of perfectly documented pressed and dried plant specimens

There is a small tear to the brown paper at the base of the the text side of one of them

British 1823 School Botany Notebook with Drawings Throughout antique Dhorka box late 19th or very earlyI recently purchased a bundle of antique school notebooks from a bookseller in England, whose late husband had collected them, and I must say that it felt rather like Christmas receiving and going through them for the first time! This Botany notebook from 1823 is the humblest looking from the outside with just a simple brown paper cover, but inside a complete delight and I think my favorite of the lot, with lovely handwritten text interspersed
