Description
Only the return of warmer weather at the start of September imbued the vintage with a freshness of great Chardonnay in tune with the subtly restrained power of Pinot Noir and a soupçon of rounded Meunier – that final little touch making the wine more pleasurable to drink soon
The sublime 2010 Pinot Noir is aged for 10 months in oak
It is a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Mourvedre (this is sometimes a split of Syrah and Mourvedre) thats aged mostly in 1-2-and 3-year-old
Then the wine was fermented in barrel
Fontaine Gagnard, Chassagne Montrachet Morgeot Blanc other_regions Only the return of warmer(from the climat of Brussonnes). There is a hint of burnt match stick to the otherwise densely fruited nose that displays notes of citrus and various white orchard fruit scents. The powerful and voluminous middle weight plus sized flavors possess solid mid palate density before culminating in a sappy and palate coating finale. This wont win any awards for elegance but it doesnt lack for size and character. 90 2020+
