Antique Handmade Valentine: Butterflies! Andre Gide Executed in a Japanese-influenced artYesterday I came across a bunch of old handmade valentines, including this one, filling me with total joy. This hand painted watercolor includes a fitting poem inside too, and on the back we learn a sender and recipient both with fabulous names: Zela and Olive! 6" x 4 9 16" closed. There is a light angular fold line and a bit of crinkling toward the bottom, but I think I can get it to flatten out pretty well.
