I have not attempted to clean this box as I love the darkness of the aged copper but I imagine it would brighten up nicely

Charming Vintage Japanese Hand-painted Kokeshi-type Boy on Turtle hanging clip and as much a sculpturalI found this charming little wooden Japanese Kokeshi type boy on turtle in a box of odds and ends at the estate sale of a man who had served in Japan during WWII and brought a lot back with him. It just pulled at my heartstringsI especially love that the dutiful turtle, serving as the perfect life raft (and wonderfully painted with waves on its lower half) seems to be grimacing all the while! Just a darling little object to have around, and a reminder
