I have a hard time wrapping my head around how one would carve a chain from one piece of wood

but it remains in great structural shape and I think all the more beautiful for the wear

and was probably made as a weight of some sort (it resembles some mat weights and scroll weights

I especially love the inked face on this one, making it appear as if he's not very glad to be trapped in his shell! 3 5 8" l x 2 1 2" w x 1 3 8" t. A little surface cracking to the dry wood but overall very good condition.
