Prussia, State. A War Merit Medal, Non-Combat Type United Republic of A first and second war(Kriegsdenkmnze). Instituted on 24 December 1813 & 7 January 1815 for Non Combat. Constructed of blackened iron, the obverse shows the crowned royal cypher of Friedrich Wilhelm III over the inscription Fr Pflichttreue im Kriege (For devotion to duty in the war), inscribed around the edge is Gott war mit uns, Ihm sei die Ehre (God was with us, to Him be the Glory), the reverse shows an Iron Cross with rays extending from between the arms, at the centre
