Germany, Wehrmacht. A 1939 Clasp To The Iron Cross Ii Class, Type Ii, By B.h. Mayer Newly Listed with one of the units(1939 Spange zum Eisernen Kreuz 1914 II. Klasse). Instituted 1 September 1939. (1940 1945 issue). Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of a Wehrmacht eagle perched on top of a wreathed mobile swastika, in turn set above a trapezoidal plaque bearing a raised date of 1939, the reverse retaining all four attachment prongs affixed to a period original ribbon, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by B. H. Mayer,
