Hawk's 9012s utilize a medium high torque and high temperature compound optimized for repeated heavy braking associated with track use. Tracked Miata's equipped with the Hawk Blues will see consistent, fade free braking, but they do take some time to get up to temperature and will make lots of noise and dust (not that you care when you're on the track!).
