Kintai bridge Iwakuni, Japan Size:XL: 120 x 80cm 6-1 27th July 1975Kintai bridge, Iwakuni, Japan, early 20th century. Kintai bridge this Japanese architect model crosses Nishiki river, Suo. Total length of the bridge 750 feet, the highest above water 78 feet. The bridge, consisting of a series of five wooden arches, was first constructed in 1673. It was destroyed in a typhoon in 1950 but was rebuilt three years later.
