It feels completely resolved, and rather like it always existed, effortlessly emerging at some point from this sheet of muted green paper, which, scuffed and smudged, feels like its been around forever too. I believe it is actually a portrait of the late artist and longtime art professor Leon Hovsepian of Worchester, MA, at whose estate sale I purchased it; perhaps
