Seto ware, with a history spanning over 1,000 years, is one of Japan's six oldest kilns, alongside Tokoname, Shigaraki, Tanba, Echizen, and Bizen. Seto was the first pottery center in Japan to use glaze, and the term "setomono" originates from Seto ware, which has been a driving force in pottery
