This rug is made from organic Kala cotton and handwoven in Kutch. Kala cotton is indigenous to Kachchh and by default organic, as farmers do not use pesticides or synthetic fertilizersit is a purely rain fed crop with high tolerance for disease and pests. Natural indigo is dyed using a 100% fructose based fermentation process. The block print is inspired by
