The Beaver first flew in 1948 and entered service with the Army Air Corps in the mid 1960s

It was also a component of Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force commanded by General Dwight D. Eisenhower. On June 6th 1944 over 12,000 allied aircraft flew 14,674 sorties.
